About

I started my millinery career over 20 years ago and over that time I have met many beautiful people and have had some amazing experiences along the way.
I was lucky enough to have Elaine Mergard as my teacher learning the fundamental principles of millinery. From there I learnt a lot from experimenting with different straws, felts and fabrics.
I like to draw inspiration from everything from plants and flowers to animals, textures, and color. I love to create pieces that make my clients feel stunning and special, tailored to suit their individual look and personality.
I pride myself on being original and unique in my work which has seen many clients winning in the fashion stakes.
I have had many opportunities to work with some of Australia's leading fashion designers such as Karen Gee, Jason Grech, John Cavill, to name a few.
I love the association my passion for millinery has with thoroughbred racing and I see this from both sides of the fence with my husband being a racehorse trainer and working with him with the horses and the owner's, trainer's and jockey’s wife's or partners around Australia and overseas who are my valued customers.
My creations have been involved in numerous fashion parades in Queensland, Sydney, and Melbourne and I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most beautiful models and fashion labels in Australia. In 2008 I was chosen to create the "Million-dollar hat" which Kimberley Busteed, Miss Universe Australia modelled. It was an honor to dress "the face of the Magic Millions " in my creations for 5 years straight.
My creations have graced the pages of many magazines and newspaper articles with a couple of highlights being Harper's Bazaar Australia and the front cover of "The Hat Magazine " in 2015.
I have been lucky to work with the Wesley hospital and Kim Walters Choices program and some of the amazing breast cancer survivors providing hats for them to wear in parades at one of their major fundraising events over a couple of years. I support numerous fundraising events offering my work as an auction item or raffle prize to help raise money for needy causes.
